If you are working with a small budget, don't worry. There are some easy fixes that you can do to improve your home's exterior appeal which cost little, if anything, other than a little elbow grease.
- Front Yard: Make your front yard look inviting. Clear away any unnecessary items (hoses, ladders, children's toys or bikes, etc.). Mow the lawn, rake the leaves, shovel the path. No matter what the season, your home needs to look cared for.
- Exterior of Home: Rent a powerwasher for the day, if possible. If this is not possible, use the garden hose to freshen up siding. Window boxes should be attractive and filled with seasonal decor. Think color - no plastic flowers, please!

A red door is said to be the most desirable color to help buyers feel at home. Choose a deeper shade for best results. Paint hand railings. Make sure your house number is clearly visible. Switch out the rusty black house numbers for a brand new polished brass set for instant appeal. Place a new welcome mat at the door.
